Yahoo Finance reporters talk honestly about their money goals for 2018

Day in and day out, our team here at Yahoo Finance works to provide financial news and information to help you manage your financial life. But if you’ve ever watched one of our shows or read our stories, you might have wondered at some point: Are these guys any good at walking the walk and practicing what they preach?

Well, we took some time in the accompanying video to have a fun, candid chat about money, specifically about how we did in 2017, both triumphs and setbacks, and what we’re personally hoping to accomplish in 2018. And we spend some time dishing dirt on who we think has the best and worst handle on their money.

For me, this is one of the best things about being a money reporter: I get to research and report on topics that directly affect the finances of my family and friends. We aren’t all financials geniuses but what this video shows (we hope) is that it’s important to have goals and a plan and to keep pushing yourself to do better. And that we’re serious about sharing the best tips and lessons with you, because at the end of the day, we’re in this with you.

What are some of your 2018 money goals? Share them with me @Jeanie531 or in the comments below.
