Y&R Spoilers: Victor and Nikki’s Anniversary is a Trap

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, April 12 kick off Victor and Nikk’s 40th anniversary (give or take a few divorces…and “deaths”) celebration with a huge party… and a plan to trap Jordan once and for all. Yet again.

Celebrate the Good Times — Come On!

Victor (Eric Braeden) doesn’t care that he and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) haven’t actually been happily — or legally — wed for forty years. He insists he always loved her.

Even when he was married to Ashley (Eileen Davidson). And Hope (Signey Coleman). Or when he was sleeping with Sharon (Sharon Case), the former daughter-in-law Nikki absolutely despises. (We did find it funny that Nikki didn’t make any such claims about continuing to love Victor during all those periods when they were divorced. Or when they were married. But she was sleeping with Arturo [Jason Canela].) Victor wants a party, so Victor will throw a party. You got that?

Ulterior Motives

Of course, the party is only partly about love. And mostly about hate. Victor’s hate for “that Jordan (Colleen Zenk, who recently teased Jordan’s new target) woman.” Victor is convinced that Jordan won’t be able to resist having all the Newmans in one room.

She’ll have to come after them again. And then Victor’s crack security team will grab her! Just because they’ve never caught her before doesn’t mean they are destined to fail again. Victor is a very encouraging and supportive boss. They’ll get it right eventually!

Danger Man

Sure, Jordan has already burned down Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) house. And gotten Nikki hooked on booze. And stabbed Nick (Joshua Morrow). And escaped every other trap Victor has set for her. But, this time, with all of their family and friends under one roof, Victor can’t imagine anything going wrong! Victor is a very…unimaginative fellow.

The idea that anyone might get the best of him — no matter how many times they’ve already done so — just never crosses his mind. It’s crossed ours. And we can’t wait to see what Jordan will be up to next!
