Y&R Spoilers: Ashley Steps Up, Nikki Breaks Down

The Young and the Restless spoilers for May 1 don’t have time to dance around a pole. Too many important things are happening. While Ashley covers up her latest collapse, Nikki wallows in hers.

Rock Bottom

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) didn’t want to go back to drinking. She was forced to. Jordan (Colleen Zenk) literally pumped vodka directly into her veins. After that horrible experience, do you blame Nikki for falling back into the bottle? We sure don’t. We do, however, blame her for hiding it, and not letting her family help her.

Now she’s got the added strain of drinking, hating herself for it, and also lying to Victor (Eric Braeden) and their children. She’s told Jack (Peter Bergman) a variation of the truth, but he can’t be with her at all times, which is why he isn’t there when Nikki completely loses control.

Southern Comfort

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has also lost control. Only, like the Pointer Sisters, she likes it. She seems to be enjoying being every woman in the world, which includes a bossy, a teen, and a Southern version. But they’re all pretty good at faking not just a real Ashley but a sane Ashley.

Traci (Beth Maitland) suspects there’s a problem. But Ashley won’t give in. And as long as she, like Nikki, refuses to ask for help, nothing will get better.

Two Versus One

Billy (Jason Thompson) thinks that as long as he can smile and charm Lily (Christel Khalil), his future at Chancellor-Winters is secure. (Heck, he might even get his wish and change the name to Chancellor-Winters -Port, he’s that confident.) But Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) aren’t down with the program. They’re going to put their past conflicts aside and join forces against Billy. A smile and charm won’t be enough to get Billy out of this one.
