XXXTentacion Public Open Casket Memorial Announced

It takes place at a stadium in Florida this week

On Tuesday, June 18, Jahseh Onfroy—the 20-year-old artist known as XXXTentacion—was shot and killed in South Florida in what investigators said appeared to be an armed robbery. A public memorial has been announced. It takes place on Wednesday, June 27 from 12-6 p.m. Eastern at Florida Panthers Stadium in Sunrise, Florida. Cell phones are not allowed at the event. According to the late rapper’s attorney J. David Bogenschutz, the memorial will include an open-casket viewing.

Police arrested one suspect, 22-year-old Dedrick Devonshay Williams, on Wednesday for first-degree murder. An arrest warrant is out for two other suspects.

Hours before his murder, the rapper announced on his Instagram story that he was “planning a charity event for this weekend” in Florida. Reports have since surfaced about the alleged suicide prevention benefit.
