'X-Men: Apocalypse' Teaser Invites Gifted Young Viewers to Enroll at Xavier's School

And the period-appropriate fake ads promoting X-Men: Apocalypse keep coming. Following a teaser for a nonexistent documentary about the mysterious Apocalypse, the latest video shows what potential students at Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters would have seen before enrolling.

Hosted by Lana Condor’s Jubilee — a fan-favorite comic book character who makes her cinematic debut in next week’s Apocalypse — the ad invites disaffected youths (with the prerequisite superpowers) to consider attending a school uniquely prepared to help mutants “succeed in the fast-paced world of 1983.”

Condor isn’t the only familiar face — or voice — in the video; James McAvoy is briefly glimpsed in his guise as “world-renowned geneticist, Professor Charles Xavier” (still with hair, placing this video before the events of Apocalypse) and the excitable voice announcing that operators are standing by belongs to none other than X-Men co-creator Stan Lee, who also recorded the voicemail message that you hear if you dial the 1-800 number flashed onscreen.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released May 27.
