X-Men: Days of Future Past took us back to the 1970s. And now it’s clear the sequel is fully embracing the acid-washed-jeans-obsessed 1980s.

In case you’re wondering how the Apocalypse shoot is going, director Bryan Singer is keeping everyone up to date via Instagram, sharing a new photo from set today, the second day of filming:

That’s our first look at Sophie Turner (best known as Sansa Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones) as the younger version of telepath Jean Grey, the character played in previous X-Men installments by Famke Janssen. Next to her is newcomer Lana Condor, who’s playing mutant Jubilee. Both young actresses are decked out in ‘80s attire, including Jubilee’s totally awesome yellow crop jacket and matching earrings.

Apocalypse hits theaters just over a year from now on May 27, 2016.
