‘X-Files’ Monster Brings Lots of Laughs

Rhys Darby guest starred on The X-Files Monday, and the comedian from New Zealand helped make it one of the most fun episodes to date. Mulder and Scully were investigating a string of recent murders when they stumbled upon Darby’s character, Guy Mann. Guy appears to be a normal person, but he confesses to Mulder that he is actually a lizard man who was bitten by a human, causing him to become a human.

While the premise sounds silly, things got even sillier as Guy explained to Mulder all the hardship he has endured since being transformed into a human.

Guy seems to be a simple creature who has been hurled into a macabre storyline that he is trying desperately to get out of. At first, Mulder doesn’t believe him, but after the real killer is discovered, that changes. As Mulder shakes Guy’s hand in parting, Guy transforms back into a lizard man, validating Mulder’s belief in monsters.

X-Files airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
