‘X-Files’ Finale: Scully Goes from Skeptic to Believer
The 10th season of X-Files came to a conclusion on Monday, and it appears as though Scully finally believes in aliens. Scully did a test of her own DNA and found alien DNA, which turned out to be a blessing.
In the final episode, almost everyone has become infected with the Spartan Virus, which destroys a person’s immune system. Only a select few have alien DNA, which shields them from the virus’s deadly effects. Unfortunately, Mulder doesn’t have any alien DNA, so he is at death’s door, unlike Scully.
Scully manages to use her own DNA to make a vaccine, but it is too late for Mulder. Scully believes that the only way to save him is to use the stem cells from their child William. While Scully is pondering where William is, a spaceship hovers over her, and just as we think it is about to abduct her, the show goes to its closing credits.
Who knows if there will be a Season 11 or any resolution, but one thing is for certain, Scully is now a believer.
