‘The X-Files: Cold Cases’: New Trailer for the Audio Drama

Production on a new season of The X-Files is beginning to heat up, but it’s still going to be a few months before we see fresh adventures starring Fox Mulder and Dana Scully on our TV screens. Enter The X-Files: Cold Cases, an all-new audio drama that will be released via Audible on July 18. Yahoo TV is premiering a suitably chilling trailer for Cold Cases that gives you a taste of what’s in store for your favorite alien-chasing FBI agents, including a trip to the sewers that’s bound to make your blood run cold.

And yes, those are the voices of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson you’re hearing in that teaser. The X-Files stars are joined by fan favorites like Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis in this four-hour collection of stories adapted from some of Mulder and Scully’s graphic novel adventures written by Joe Harris. Continuity-obsessed fans should also know that Cold Cases fills in the time gap between the end of the 2008 X-Files features, I Want to Believe, and the launch of Fox’s event miniseries in 2016, depicting how the duo emerged from the proverbial wilderness to reclaim their FBI badges. The truth is out there… and you’ll soon be able to hear it.

The X-Files: Cold Cases premieres July 18 on Audible. The first nine seasons of The X-Files are streaming on Hulu.
