WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler Takes Shot at 'Heavy Machinery' After Retaining Tag Team Title

Dolph Ziggler didn't get the chance to inflict all the punishment on Otis and Tucker that he wanted to on "WWE Raw," so he followed up the next morning.

Current Raw Tag Team Champions, Ziggler and Robert Roode, faced off against Heavy Machinery during "WWE Raw" Monday night at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, AZ.

Even though they had the belts, many believed the well-seasoned team of Otis and Tucker would emerge victorious over Ziggler and Roode.

However, after Ziggler caught Tucker with a signature Zig Zag, and then Roode followed up with a devastating DDT, the champs remained the champs.

"Shoving the straps in your face like they’re the nxt flavor of the week..." Ziggler wrote on Instagram Tuesday morning while basking in his win.

The slam against the fan-favorite tag team stars was personal, seeing as both Otis and Tucker made a name for themselves after forming a tag team unit on NXT, WWE's developmental territory which serves as the farm system for the big WWE brand.

Fans of the popular WWE heel noticed the burn, and sounded off in his comments.

"Dang Dolph you didn’t have to do them like that," one fan wrote.

It's not the first time in recent days that Ziggler has started WWE drama outside of the ring, as he recently mixed things up with one of his biggest rivals, Goldberg.

The Blast first reported that Ziggler and Goldberg "bumped" into each other during a dinner in Las Vegas, and things quickly escalated to the point of people jumping in to separate the two Superstars.

It's unclear if the incident in Sin City will spill over to an actual storyline, but it's clear Ziggler enjoys shaking things up in the WWE.
