Austin posted on Instagram, "Introducing Macho. Macho is from a town called Austin, Nevada. Thanks to @huntressdivine for finding him for us. Pancho is already getting used to him, although he is letting him know who the boss is..With Pancho mentoring him, He should be a helluva cat. He certainly has a lot of personality. And is not afraid of anything. He is about 6ish weeks old."

You have to think the new little guy's name is an homage to macho man Randy Savage.

Things That Can Help When You Adopt a New Kitten

Everyone know there are certain things you need when you first adopt a kitten. Things like their first vaccinations and a microchip, food, water, litter and a quiet place to rest, and every single cat toy you can think of.

But as someone who has owned cats all my life and recently got a new Maine Coon kitten, here are some of the little extras that make my life easier.

A litter genie. If you've ever had a baby and used disposable diapers you may be familiar with the Diaper Genie, but there's also a version for cat litter called a Litter Genie and omg I love it. The Litter Genie is fantastic because you keep it next to your litter box and you scoop the mess into the litter genie and it seals it off so the area where you keep your litter smells so much better, plus you aren't traipsing back and forth to your trash can. You buy these refills for it and change them out once they are full and it's such a lifesaver for keeping your home smelling clean and your litter box actually clean.

Speaking of litter, by my own litter boxes I have the Clorox Air Purifier which also makes my house smell great and it removes stuff like pet dander, pet hair and  it has a True HEPA filter which captures 99.97% of allergens and particulates and 99.9% of viruses and bacteria. It's super quiet and actually a really attractive machine and since first plugging it in I've noticed my air smells so much fresher than before I had one.

Lots of scratching posts. The best time to train your kitten to use a scratching post is before they start scratching up your furniture! You can basically find these anywhere or you can even make your own if you're handy.

A catio. I have a popup catio that I'm not sure happy with, but I love being able to let my cats outside without them bothering the birds or wandering from my yard. This one is pricey but it's beautiful!
