Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer revealed that the angle involving Gable and Gunther had been dropped, paving the way for potential title challenges from formidable contenders like Julius Creed. The twist in this narrative is the speculation surrounding a dream match between Gunther and Brock Lesnar. Meltzer even speculated about a potential WrestleMania match between Gunther and Lesnar. He even mentioned that the former might be cheated out of the title rather than losing face.

The Ring General is currently engaged in a heated feud with The Miz, where he is set to defend his Intercontinental Championship.
