Writer David Gleeson Joins Paradigm; UTA Signs ‘Moonlight’ Actor Ashton Sanders

Paradigm has signed writer David Gleeson, moving him from CAA. Gleeson is currently writing and execu producing Paramount’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas with Karen Rosenfelt producing. In addition to that, he is adapting the video game Metro 2033 for De Luca Productions and producer Stephen L’Heureux. His other works include Down To A Sunless Sea for Focus Features with Morgan Freeman to produce and star, End Of History for Sony with Neal Moritz producing, and Dry Earth for Michael De Luca with Josh Bratman producing. Gleeson also sold his J.R.R. Tolkien biopic, A Light In The Darkness to Fox Searchlight with Peter Chernin attached to produce. He will continue to be repped by Madhouse.

Fresh off from his break-through performances as Chiron in the indie darling Moonlight, Ashton Sanders has signed with UTA. The film, a coming-of-age story of human connection and self-discovery, has scored high with critics and taken its place in the Oscar race. The Barry Jenkins-directed pic also marked Sanders’ first big feature role. UTA will share representation with his longtime agency The Savage Agency and he will continued to be repped by ESI Management.
