World’s Oldest Burlesque Dancer Teaches Steve Harvey How to Do a Striptease

The world’s oldest burlesque dancer taught Steve Harvey a thing or two about the art of the tease on Little Big Shots: Forever Young. Penny Starr, 84, showed Harvey that her dance moves are to “bump the orange, bump the apple, and grind the coffee.” As you might imagine, this metaphor is all about the hips, and Harvey immediately took to it. As he circled his hips he said, “You know what I’m doing right now? Making a lot of coffee.”

After Harvey attended Penny’s school of burlesque, it was time to watch her do her thing. When Starr finally did take off most of her clothes, Harvey was quickly there to cover her right back up.

Harvey isn’t Starr’s only student. She also teaches dance at senior centers. To her students, she said, “Let’s bounce them boobies. Make them work.”

Starr started dancing when she was 27 and won “Miss Bump-and-Grind” in 1963. She also won a trophy for “Best Legs,” which she still has.

Little Big Shots: Forever Young airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
