Hollywood’s Houston Astros fans were more than happy to gloat in their 2017 World Series victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers and LA’s many famous fans. And now that Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole and Jose Altuve have led the team to their second World Series in three years, they’re looking to the stars again for another title. Some Texas-born hometown heroes like Matthew McConaughey and Jim Parsons are just a few of the fans hoping the ‘Stros can end the hot streak of their opponents the Washington Nationals.

Kate Upton

Kate Upton knows the Houston Astros intimately, as she’s married to the team’s ace, starting pitcher Justin Verlander.

Jim Parsons

The “Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons was born in Houston and told Ellen DeGeneres in 2017 that he was thrilled to see the excitement around the team and the city in the wake of the hurricane that hit the state that year. But he also feels close to the team after learning that he has the same fitness trainer as Justin Verlander.

Rico Rodriguez stayed true to his Houston Astros in 2017 even as much of the rest of his cast on “Modern Family” bled Dodger Blue.
