Working 9-5 (or 5-9)? Krispy Kreme unveils new Dolly Parton doughnut collection

Whether working 9-5 or 5-9, Krispy Kreme's new doughnut collection is meant to satisfy the sweet tooth of any Dolly Parton fan.

Krispy Kreme unveiled its new, limited edition Dolly Southern Sweet Doughnut Collection on Tuesday. The collection features four signature doughnuts, an ode to the country musician.

What are the flavors?

• Dolly Dazler Doughnut: Original Glazed Doughnut with strawberry icing; gold, pink and white glitter sprinkles; and a Dolly butterfly confectionary;

• Peachy Keen Cobbler Doughnut: Unglazed doughnut with peach filling dipped in brown sugar and crunchy cobbler toppings;

• Banana Puddin' Pie: Unglazed doughnut with banana pudding filling, wafers and banana pudding cream, dipped in yellow icing with white icing swirls and wafer cookie pieces;

• Chocolate Crème Pie: Original Glazed Doughnut topped with chocolate brownie cream and vanilla whipped topping, sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumbles.

Customers can purchase one of the signature doughnuts for $2.69 each, a three-count for $7.69 or a dozen for $19.99. A Dolly Southern Sweet Doughnut Collection features two of each signature doughnut and four Original Glazed Doughnuts.

In addition to four new doughnut flavors, Krispy Kreme has also released a new Peachy-Kenny Lemonade Flavored Chiller with the collection. The frozen drink is made with real fruit and peach syrup, sweetened with cane sugar. The chiller is $3.99 for a small, $4.49 for a medium and $4.99 for a large.

Dress up, sing as Dolly and receive a free doughnut

On Saturday, May 18, all participating Krispy Kreme locations, including Springfield's, are running a special Dolly Parton promotion. Customers who dress up as Parton or sing a part of one of her songs will receive a free Original Glazed Doughnut.

Where to try to the doughnuts in Springfield

Springfield's Krispy Kreme location is one of several offering the limited edition Dolly Southern Sweets Doughnut Collection. The restaurant is located at 3860 S. Campbell Ave. and open Sunday through Thursday 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Friday and Saturday 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The drive-thru is open 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day and delivery is available 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. everyday.
