My order: I had a wood-fired Margherita pizza ($12), a simple pie for one or two people with red sauce, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and sea salt. The crust was amazingly chewy and flavorful and the basil added a flavorful herbal note. I also ordered a bowl of tomato-basil soup ($5.99), which delivered those same flavors in a perfectly balanced way.

Likes: This new eatery offers a variety of regional pizza styles, such as New Jersey Tavern, Detroit, and New York. Specialty pies are on the menu as well, but if none of that appeals to you, the crew can make a custom pizza. Desserts include cannoli, Italian creme cake, and tiramisu. The market section of the business has a variety of canned tomatoes, dry pasta, oils, vinegars, and flours. A freezer case is stocked with frozen pizzas, prepared pasta dishes, and gelatos.

Dislikes: Sapori — Italian for “flavor” — is still in a “soft opening” phase, so you won’t be able to call in an order or use the pick-up window yet.

What would I order next time? I’d like to sample some of the different styles of pizza (which you can buy whole or by the slice), but I wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity to have that wood-fired Margherita again.
