With James Gunn’s DCU restarting things, many are left wondering about Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 release date. It was supposed to be one of DC’s priorities after Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, with James Gunn announcing a new DCU slate without any Wonder Woman movie, fans have been wanting to know how DC Studios plans to proceed with the character. Is there a Wonder Woman 3 release date yet?

The Wonder Woman 3 release date is predicted to arrive by 2027.

The direction that the DCU will be taking post-Aquaman 2 isn’t known yet. The full list of old DCEU actors who are set to continue in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU is yet to be revealed. While many thought that Jason Momoa and John Cena might be the only familiar faces carrying over, Gal Gadot recently revealed that she will stick around as well.

While speaking with Comicbook.com, she said:

“I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.”

Under DC’s leadership prior to James Gunn and Peter Safran, Wonder Woman 3 would have probably begun filming in late 2023. But back in 2022, Patty Jenkins’ script for the film was rejected as it did not fit in with Gunn and Safran’s plans. Since then, Wonder Woman has cameoed in two DCEU movies.

But now with Gadot’s new comments, it’s likely that she will also continue in Gunn’s new DC Universe. So, a new Wonder Woman 3 in DC’s rebooted continuity could be prioritized after Superman: Legacy. But with so many DC movies like The Brave and the Bold and The Authority in development already, it’s likely that Wonder Woman 3 won’t come out before 2027.
