Woman Who Says She’s Used Drugs Since She Was 8 Says She Started To ‘Escape The Pain’ Of Her Childhood

“I’ve been struggling with addiction since I was 8 years old,” says Kelli. “I began to see my dad again. I saw that he was drinking, smoking pot, so I started stealing his pot and experimenting with pot and alcohol.” Now 32, Kelli says she uses heroin daily. She says she’s been to multiple detox and rehab centers but can’t stay clean – and recently overdosed twice within five days. “Dr. Phil is my last hope,” she says. “I either take his advice, or I die.” In the video above, hear what Kelli says about her childhood and why she says she turned to drugs.
