Woman Says She Felt Betrayed By Her Sister Who Begged Her To Appear On Dr. Phil

When Sarah was first scheduled to appear on Dr. Phil with her family, she claims she felt rushed and frustrated by the idea, and so, she says, she changed her mind. “My sister begged me to ‘come save this family,’ and on top of that – she offered me $1,000 to come on the show. I felt extremely betrayed.”

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Life in crisis?

Sarah’s sister, Jaime Lee, says the family “caught wind that she had some people around that were advising her not to do that.”

Sarah is accusing her sister of “kidnapping” her (then) infant daughter, saying she took the child without any cause. Sarah’s father, Jim, and stepmother, Cindy, say they took custody of the child. They claim she was putting her little girl’s safety at risk by exposing her to dangerous situations involving drugs, gangs and other illegal activities, which Sarah vehemently denies.

“I can’t say when she got off the plane I was completely surprised, but it was very frustrating because everybody had worked so hard to try to get her to the Dr. Phil Show,” says Sarah’s mother, Sharon.

Why does Sarah say she decided to see Dr. Phil now? Is she ready to accept the help her family claims she needs?
