Woman gets suspicious after making ‘shady’ discovery in her fiancé’s car: ‘Don’t jump to conclusions’

A woman discovered what she felt was evidence of her fiancé’s infidelity.

She went on Reddit’s “Relationship Advice” forum for help. She recently found what appeared to be another woman’s hair tie in his car. But when she asked him about it, he acted like he was clueless.

“I (28F) have been engaged to my (30M) fiancé for about 1 year and overall in a relationship for 5 years. I just recently moved into his place, I’d say we’ve been living together for the past 4/5 months,” she explained.

Things were going well, but lately, her boyfriend has been distant. Then, they stopped being intimate as often as they used to be.

“Fast forward to 2 days ago. We are driving home from a sports event and I rest my hand in the passengers door handle where the arm rest is at,” she said.

“And I pull up a set of 2 very small rubber bands with blond hairs intertwined in both bands. I am not blonde. Nor do I own any of those rubber bands. I am 100% brunette and none of our close friends or my sister or his sister/mom are blonde.”

When she confronted him about the issue, he insisted he didn’t have a clue whose hair it was.

“He told me he would never disrespect me like that and he’s very sorry about even making me feel so upset,” she wrote. “I really want to believe that maybe it was a coworkers, or just believe him in general but that hair is evidence, right? I have not looked at him the same.”

Redditors chimed in with their theories on the issue.

“Don’t jump to conclusions, it may not mean cheating. It could be something as simple as a kidnapping,” a user said.

“This is shady. Don’t let it go, until he tells you exactly who’s hair and why they were in the car,” another wrote.

“She left those there on purpose to clue you in girly,” someone suggested.
