Woman Admits She Texted Runaway Son’s Adoptive Mother: ‘Just Send Him To Juvenile Hall’

Amy claims her son Nick’s biological mother, Lupita, was physically and emotionally abusive to him when he went to visit her.

Amy and her husband, Jeremy, adopted Nick when he was 12 years old. Nick had been in foster care since he was 6, following his birth mother, Lupita’s, incarceration for a probation violation on charges she physically abused her stepson. Nick had 14 separate placements inside of six years. She and Jeremy say that since his adoption, Nick, who is now 17, has had multiple behavior issues, becoming increasingly aggressive toward the family.

Amy says it was out of desperation that she tracked down Lupita, to see if she would be able to help them get Nick’s behaviors under control. She says she sent Nick to visit his birth mother for a few weeks but now regrets getting her involved, claiming Lupita was verbally abusive to Nick while he was staying with her.

“Nick said when he was living with Lupita that she would call him names, she would say he was a mistake, and that at one point she threatened to hit herself and say that he had done it, and go to the police,” says Amy. She also claims Lupita made several statements on social media about hitting Nick. “Beating his ass – beating ‘the bricks off of him,’ – different ways that she was going to physically harm him.”

Lupita admits she sent texts to Amy saying she was going to lay her hands on him because Nick “is back talking me and thinking he is a bad ass,” and also texted Amy to “Just send him to juvenile hall,” after he ran away.

On Friday’s episode, Lupita explains what she was thinking when she made those statements and Dr. Phil sits down with Nick one-on-one to talk about his past – and his future.
