Conflict caused by incompatibility or irreconcilable differences can affect a couple over their marriage, said Tess Brigham, a therapist.
Bill Gates and Melinda Gates’ carefully crafted statement on the end of their marriage made a few key points clear, but left the public utterly without clues on what might have prompted the dissolution of their relationship after 27 years and raising three kids together. In that vacuum, rumors have begun to flow, as they […]

“It takes about 1.5 hours to tame this mane."
To the wider world, Bill and Melinda Gates have always appeared to be the Mazda of married couples: not very glamorous, but very reliable and unlikely to break down. There were less serious responses too— fake Tinder profiles, jokey memes about Microsoft fails, and spoofs of QAnon speculation about whether Melinda was anti-vax. If the Gateses, with all that money, a joint project that had made a real impact, three kids and 27 years under their belt, couldn’t make it, what hope is there for the rest of us?

When Apple typically issues mid-cycle iOS updates, I don't always update my iPhone immediately. Especially if the new update doesn't address any serious security issues or have any compelling new features, I've never been in a rush to update my phone if things are already running smoothly. The recent release of iOS 14.5.1, however, is an exception and an update you'll probably want to download as soon as possible. Apple first released iOS 14.5 just about a week ago with a host of new features, including the company's new App Tracking Transparency framework, new Siri voices, a multitude of new emojis, support for AirTags, and more. Just a few days later, Apple rolled out an iOS 14.5.1 update that it said addressed a bug associated with its App Tracking Transparency feature. An Apple support document, however, reveals that the new iOS update also addresses two serious security issues. While it's not uncommon for iOS updates to tackle security issues or bugs, this update is different insofar that the security issues at play may have already been exploited in the wild. In other words, these aren't theoretical security issues, but rather security issues with potentially real-world consequences. Addressing the two security issues, Apple notes that it's aware that both of them "may have been actively exploited." Both security issues involve WebKit and involve all iPhone models going all the way back to the iPhone 6s. A number of iPad models are impacted as well: Apple details the security content of its iOS 14.5.1 and iPadOS 14.5.1 updates as follows: WebKit Available for: iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation) Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited. Description: A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved state management. CVE-2021-30665: yangkang (@dnpushme)&zerokeeper&bianliang of 360 ATA WebKit Available for: iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation) Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited. Description: An integer overflow was addressed with improved input validation. CVE-2021-30663: an anonymous researcher Apple hasn't provided more detailed information about how the issues above may have been exploited, but you'll still want to update to iOS 14.5.1 as soon as you can. Security issues aside, there are several other reasons to update to 14.5.1 if you're still running iOS 14.4 or an even older iteration of iOS. To this point, some other iOS 14.5 features worth mentioning include: Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch Ability to unlock your iPhone X and later with Apple Watch Series 3 and later when you attempt to use Face ID while wearing a face mask AirTag and Find My Support for AirTag to keep track of and find your important items like your keys, wallet, backpack and more, privately and securely in the Find My app Precision Finding uses visual, audible, and haptic feedback to guide you directly to your nearby AirTag using Ultra Wideband provided by the U1 chip on iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 models AirTag can be located by playing a sound via the built-in speaker The Find My network with hundreds of millions of devices can help you find your AirTag, even when it isn’t nearby Lost Mode notifies you when your AirTag is found, and you can enter a phone number where you can be contacted Siri Siri now includes more diverse voice options Incoming calls can be announced with Siri, including who is calling, when you’re wearing your AirPods or compatible Beats headphones, and you can answer hands-free Group FaceTime calls are supported by asking Siri to FaceTime a list of contacts or a group name from Messages Emergency contacts can be called by asking Siri Privacy Podcasts Podcasts Show Pages are redesigned to make it easier to start listening Option to save and download episodes, automatically adding them to your Library for quick access Download behavior and notification settings can be customized on a show-by-show basis Top Charts and popular categories in Search help you discover new shows 5G Improvements Dual SIM support enables 5G connectivity on the line that’s using cellular data on iPhone 12 models Smart Data Mode improvements further optimize your experience on 5G networks for better battery life and data usage on iPhone 12 models 5G international roaming enabled on supported carriers on iPhone 12 models News

Almost all CVS Target locations across the country are offering COVID-19 vaccine appointments, and now the retailer is giving shot recipients a special perk. Guests and team members get a $5 Target coupon when they receive a CVS Target vaccine."Visit CVS.com to check availability and schedule your COVID-19 vaccine appointment (you can schedule your second dose at the same time, if applicable)," the company says in a post on its website. "After you receive your vaccine you'll get a $5 Target coupon to spend on in-store purchases of $5 or more."Related: This Is the Best Supermarket in America, New Survey Says View this post on Instagram A post shared by Team Target (@teamtarget)Target/CVS isn't the only retailer that's expanded vaccine availability recently. Walmart and its wholesale store Sam's Club is offering walk-in doses at all store pharmacies. Safeway and Albertsons are also allowing customers to walk in and get the shot in some locations. Convenience stores like Walgreens, Rite Aid, and stand-alone CVS locations are also allowing walk-ins. Costco launched a new COVID-19 vaccine scheduling system a few weeks ago, and all you have to do is type in your state, city, or zip code, and the Costco warehouses with appointments pop right up.However, Target is the only retailer with a vaccine coupon incentive for customers (besides places like Staples, Office Depot, and Office Max, which are laminating vaccine cards for free). There are some other places giving out free food to vaccinated customers, though, including Krispy Kreme, Budweiser, and White Castle. But the good news is, that $5 can help you pay for some foods and drinks that can help you feel your best after getting the shot. Some of these include green veggies, onion, garlic, soup, green tea, blueberries, and even bone broth! To get all the latest grocery store and health news delivered right to your email inbox every day, sign up for our newsletter!

Tucker Carlson was right: House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is living in the Washington, D.C., penthouse of Republican pollster and messaging maven Frank Luntz, and it does sound like a pretty sweet deal. Carlson was tipped off to the roommate arrangement, and McCarthy confirmed it Tuesday, telling Fox & Friends he has "rented a room from Frank for a couple of months, but don't worry, I'm back to — going back to where I normally am, on my couch in my office. But, yes, we pay fair market rate" Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler looked into Luntz's apartment, and it's actually a 7,000-square-foot, 12-bedroom, 16-bathroom amalgamation of 4 three-story penthouses Luntz purchased for nearly $4.3 million in August and September 2018 and merged in November 2019. The homeowner's association fees on the four units is $4,976 a month, Kessler calculates, citing Redfin. Neither McCarthy nor Luntz responded to the Post's request for comment, but a McCarthy spokesman told the Daily Wire the minority leader "calculated the fair market value amount at $1,500/month" to rent an "approximately" 400-square-foot room in Luntz's penthouse. Kessler's Apartments.com search found that a comparable studio or one-bedroom would run about $5,000 a month. Regardless, he writes, "besides the 'room' he rented, McCarthy would have had access to a 24/7 concierge, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, a media room, a business center, and a party room with a bar and pool table." "This is quite a deal, especially considering that Luntz has talked about how he's on the road all the time," Politico muses. "Imagine paying $1,500 a month for what is essentially a mansion carved into a high-rise? It's good to be the minority leader!" Carlson was less amused by the "sleazy and corrupt" arrangement. "Kevin McCarthy promises Republicans he shares their values" and "will fight for them against permanent Washington, the forces that would like to destroy their lives," he said. "And at the end of the day, Kevin McCarthy goes home to Frank Luntz's apartment in Penn Quarter and laughs about it."
