Witney Carson is grateful her son is recovering well after a scary accident.

On Thursday, the Dancing with the Stars pro's son Kevin Leo, 3, had to be rushed to the hospital after taking a hard fall on a concrete surface. Sharing an update on Sunday, Carson said that while her son's bruises are jarring, he's doing well.

"For those who missed stories the last few days — Leo had an accident and hit his head on concrete 😢," she explained. "The scans were clear he is just a little beat up. Very scary but grateful it wasn't worse 🙏."

One photo shows the toddler in dad Carson McAllister's lap after playing with some Play-Doh. Another shows a close-up of the bruising and scrapes on Leo's face. The couple is also parents to son Jet, 9 months.

Speaking with PEOPLE in September, Carson opened up about taking some time away from dancing and devoting herself to motherhood.

"Being a mom is a full-time job. It's waking up, making breakfast, making lunch for your kids, going off to school, picking them up from school," she shared.

"Being there for Leo is really important to us, just experiencing everything that he is experiencing no matter what it is, even if he got an owie and he fell, I want to be there for that. And Jet, obviously when he's crying, I want to be the one that picks him up and soothes him and rocks him back to sleep."

Carson and McAllister — who tied the knot on Jan. 1, 2016 — welcomed Leo in January 2021, after announcing they were expecting in July 2020.

Back in November 2022, Carson revealed that she was expecting her second baby during an episode of her ABC reality competition series.

"I'm so excited to finally announce that Carson, Leo and myself are expecting baby number two," she said on DWTS at the time.

The mom-to-be added, "I'm so blessed and this just felt like a really good time to share it, and I can finally share it, which feels great. I'm very blessed."
