“The song is fun and deeply meaningful—through the power of Star’s stardust, all of nature comes to life and explains to Asha that we are all made of the same stuff,” Benjamin Rice, who co-composed the song with Michaels, said in a statement. “We are ALL stars! This song is also one of my personal favorites due to its message and the emotions and truth that it strikes in us all.”
The first video is a lyrics video of “I’m A Star” performed by 22 individual soloists who voice a host of forest animals and plant life that come to life and serenade Ariana DeBose’s Asha. As for the second video, it offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at Alan Tudyk’s voice recording session, as his character Valentino, a talking goat, is also one of the voices featured in the said song.

Who’s involved in Wish?
Set to arrive in theaters on November 22, Wish is directed by Chris Buck (Frozen) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (Raya and the Last Dragon) from a screenplay written by Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore. The film will feature the voices of Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino.
“It is an all-new story is set in the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, an optimist with a sharp wit and a deep caring for her community, turns to the sky in a moment of need, and makes a wish,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Asha’s plea is answered by a cosmic force, a little ball of boundless energy, Star. Together, they will face the most formidable of foes to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars — wondrous things can happen.”
The film is produced by Peter Del Vecho (Frozen) and Juan Pablo Reyes (Encanto), with Lee executive producing. It features original songs by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice, plus a score by composer Dave Metzger.
