Wireless Festival has announced that the much loved music festival is set to go-ahead this year as ticket's went on sale at midday today.

Following last year’s devastating cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic, founders have announced that the festival will take place from the 10-12 September 2021.

Previously located at its historic location in Finsbury Park, 2021 sees the event relocating to new surroundings, south of the river at Crystal Palace Park.

This has sparked mixed emotions on Twitter. BBC 1Xtra DJ Nick Bright tweeted:

"Only Londoners will make out Wireless moving from Finsbury Park to Crystal Palace Park is like moving it to Russia or something."

Another tweeted: "So Wireless has relocated from Finsbury Park to Crystal Palace, I've had my time with that festival. I'll pass."

The festival booked a vast array of huge headliners that have continued to grow in success and chart accolades since the line-up announcement last year. So festival-goers are eagerly awaiting line-up announcements as it is yet to be confirmed whether the 2020 lineup remains the same:

Friday: A$AP Rocky, D-Block Europe, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug

Saturday: Skepta, Quality Control: The Takeover, Dababy, Roddy Rich, Burna Boy

Sunday: Meek Mill, AJ Tracey, Lil Baby.

Tickets went on sale at midday today, with first release Saturday-day tickets selling out on Wireless’ own website, as well as Ticket Master. (Saturday tickets are still limitedly available on other ticket websites.)
