Wire Fox Terrier claims Best in Show amid controversy at Westminster Dog Show

A Wire Fox Terrier named King took home the coveted title of Best in Show from the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. While King was a worthy recipient of the designation, the final competition was marred with controversy when the winner of the highly competitive Non-Sporting group, a Schipperke name Colton was disqualified due to its owner having a distant business relationship with head judge Peter Green. Many fans were upset and confused by the ruling, with one fan tweeting, "Could you imagine if a ref at the Super Bowl was related to Tom Brady, so they said Brady couldn't play? We are not here for the judge! It's about the dogs!" Despite the controversy, fans were happy to see King become the 15th Wire Fox Terrier in history to take home the grand prize. And King's handler, Gabriel Rangel, hopes now the dog can focus on just being a dog. Rangel said of King, "He should be running around in a grass field."
