A Winter Fisheree and more — these are your can’t-miss events in Oshkosh this week

OSHKOSH — Warmer temperatures have put a damper on many winter events, including the Otter Street Fishing Club's Winter Fisheree, set to take place Feb. 3 at Miller's Bay. The event will go on, however, with food, drink, live music and raffles.

Other events to consider include places to shop, live music and the monthly Gallery Walk.

Here are your can't-miss events happening in the community this week.

1. Otter Street Fisheree will take place Feb. 3 at Miller's Bay

The Otter Street Fishing Club will present its annual Winter Fisheree Feb. 3. The event runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Miller’s Bay in Menominee Park.

Some of the events, such as pond hockey, will not take place with the warmer weather predicted. There still will be raffles for cash and prizes, live music, and food and drink in the heated tent.

Those taking part in the Pre-Battle Challenge Fishing Contest must purchase a fishing ticket by 7 a.m. Feb. 3. Tickets are available at Jerry’s Bar. Fish registration will take place 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 3. Raffle prizes and contest winners will be announced about 5:30 p.m. Ask Your Mother will play from 6 to 10 p.m.

2. Shop more than 120 booths at VendorFest

The WiscoCollect VendorFest is set to take place Feb. 3 at Sunnyview Expo Center, 500 E. County Y. The event runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

The sale features more than 120 booths featuring everything from arts and crafts to memorabilia, and toys to trading cards and anything else you might think of.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase.

3. Winter Craft Show is Feb. 4 at Convention Center

Eclectic Candle Company will host a Winter Craft Show Feb. 4. The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oshkosh Convention Center, 2 N. Main St. Admission is free.

Local small businesses offer a collection of handcrafted goods and services for sale.

4. Ken Williams to play Reeve Memorial Union Feb. 6

Milwaukee-based musician Ken Williams will appear in concert Feb. 6 at Reeve Memorial Union, 748 Algoma Blvd. The concert will run 7 to 9 p.m.

Williams will play a mix of country with soft rock/pop.

A new preschool: New preschool, Trio Explorers, opens in Oshkosh. An open house is Jan. 31.

5. Monthly Gallery Walk features variety of artwork

The next Oshkosh Gallery Walk will take place 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 3 in downtown Oshkosh.

The walk is offered the first Saturday of each month. Galleries and businesses open their doors to feature artwork of all varieties and genres.
