With an already-barren blue line, the Winnipeg Jets were dealt a heavy blow on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Defenceman Josh Morrissey took a puck off the leg after a casual dump-in and immediately needed assistance en route to the dressing room. To further rub salt in the wound, the Jets also lost blueliner Nathan Beaulieu to an upper-body injury earlier in the game.
The injuries left Winnipeg with only four healthy defencemen to finish the game and obviously create cause for concern moving forward if either injury is serious.
It's 3-3 at home and Winnipeg will finish the game with only Pionk, Kulikov, Sbisa, and Poolman on defence.

Josh Morrissey and Nathan Beaulieu are hurt. Anthony Bitetto and Carl Dahlstrom are still with the team. Sami Niku's ears are probably on fire.
Morrissey leads all Jets skaters in average ice-time this season, so there’s no doubt that the team is losing an anchor on their back end should he be out long-term.
But hey, at least we got to see a five-forward power play take the ice.
Prior to Saturday’s contest, Morrissey had two goals and 14 points through 21 games.
