Winnebago County Fair runs Aug. 2-6. Here's what to know if you go.

OSHKOSH - The Winnebago County Fair runs Aug. 2 to 6 at the Sunnyview Expo Center on County Y.

With five days of live music, a rodeo, carnival rides and exhibits, as the fair states, it's “The place to be in 2023.”

Admission

Full week admission is $35 and includes the annual membership and all the fair offers, except for the carnival rides.

Individual daily tickets are $12 until Aug. 1 and $15 at the gate. Daily tickets include all fair entertainment and unlimited carnival rides.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate, online, or at Festival Foods in Oshkosh, Neenah and Menasha; Discover Oshkosh; Hair Connection, 522 North Main St., Oshkosh; Winnebago County Clerk’s Office, 112 Otter Ave., Oshkosh; Winnebago County Parks or Land/Water Offices in the James P. Coughlin Building, 625 E. County Y, Oshkosh; Twisted Roots Bar, Oshkosh; Piggly Wiggly in Omro and Oshkosh; and Stannard Cleaners, Main Street, and Festival in Oshkosh.

Grandstand entertainment

  • Aug. 2: 7 p.m., T&C Rodeo and Wisconsin Freestyle Motocross featuring Cody Cavanaugh, followed by fireworks

  • Aug 3: 7 p.m., County Tractor Pull

  • Aug. 4: 6:30 p.m., N.E.W. Motorsports and 7 p.m., Badger State Truck & Tractor Pull

  • Aug. 5: 6 p.m., Demolition Derby

Live music

Music Village will feature live music by several local acts including Model Citizens, Brady Lee, Shotgun Jane, The Dweebs and Mistakes Were Made. A rock vs. country showdown will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 between the Crankin Yankees and Fire on High.

On the Midway

In addition to festival rides, Mr. Ed’s Magical Midways offers fair food, midway games and a kiddie play area.

Rides will be open 4 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 2-3; 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 4-5; and noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 6.

Other attractions

There will be family entertainment shows each day of the fair between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Some of the acts include the Royal Legacy Circus; pig, duck and goat racing; Bear Hollow Wood Carvers; Nick’s Kids Show; and catch-and-release trout fishing.

Algoma Alley: Downtown Oshkosh alley to be transformed into public art gathering space with help of WEDC grant

An auction of the Bear Hollow carvings done during the fair will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 5.

There also will be plenty of exhibits on display by adults and youth of everything from animals to plants, clothing and more.
