Thursday
cMoe's Countdown to Totality
March 5-April 7, cMoe-Koch Family Children's Museum, 22 SE Fifth St. Cost is included in admission.
This is a month-long lineup of science-focused events and celestial experiences for all family members. These events will feature local storytellers, Evansville's NASA ambassador Mandy Scurry, Mr. Science from "Hooked on Science," themed programming, pop-up activities and more. Shadow and Light
Through April 12, Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, 212 Main St.
The Arts Council is hosting a shadow-and-light-themed art exhibit that commemorates the upcoming solar eclipse by featuring shadow and light 2D artwork and media.
Ancient Aliens Live
7:30 p.m., Victory Theatre, 600 Main St, Tickets range from $45 to $65
Project Earth explores questions such as: have extraterrestrials visited Earth? Are they here now/when will they reveal themselves? And what could they want?
NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship
March 28-30, Ford Center, 1 SE Martin Luther King Drive. Tickets start at $18
The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball-Elite Eight Championship is here in Evansville with the quarterfinals/semifinals taking place during the week and the championship game taking place on Saturday.
Friday
Germania fish fry
5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Germania Maennerchor, 916 N. Fulton Ave. $11-$13 per meal.
The fish fry season is here. The $11 plate has a fish sandwich with one side and the $13 includes two deep-fried fillets, German potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans with rye bread. Dessert will also be available to purchase.
Saturday
EVPL Day at Wesselman Woods
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wesselman Woods, 551 N. Boeke Road. Free.
The library foundation partners with Wesselman Woods for free access to all trails, as well as yoga at 11 a.m., the five-acre nature playscape, the treehouse and the bird sanctuary. EVPL will give information about the upcoming total eclipse in April.
Community Egg Hunt
10 a.m., EVPL West, 2000 W. Franklin St., Free
In partnership with Love Lamasco, the library foundation is hosting an egg hunt for kids of all ages. This event includes a make-your-own egg basket craft.
Eclipse show
1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday weekly, Koch Immersive Theater and Planetarium, 411 SE Riverside Drive. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth and members.
This eclipse-oriented planetarium show demonstrates a simulation of the conditions that produce a solar and lunar eclipse
Evansville Chicken & Wing Festival
1 to 7 p.m., Main Street Food & Beverage Hall, 900 Main St, Tickets range from $10 to $50, and kids 12 and under are free
This family-friendly event offers some of the area's best buffalo wings with more than 40 styles from selected vendors, live music, bobbing for wings, ranch and hot sauce chugging contests, tailgate games, a wing-eating competition and new challenges.
SolarFest 2024
1 p.m., EVPL North Park, 906 Koehler Drive, Free
This family-friendly festival celebrates the upcoming total eclipse. There will be an eclipse-themed storytime, crafts, science activities, a solar telescope for safe sun viewing, information about citizen science, and making scientific observations on eclipse day.
Sunday
Easter Brunch
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St. Tickets range from $10 to $45
This family-friendly Easter brunch will feature traditional breakfast favorites, southern-style lunch items, build-your-own omelet, and waffle stations, smoked salmon and shrimp cocktail displays, and a lamb carving station. Kids will have a knee-high buffet with kid-friendly items and photo ops with the Easter Bunny. Those 21 and up can add on bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys for $10.
