Wind rustled the blossoming cherry trees along Washington DC’s Tidal Basin as temperatures hovered in the 30s on April 2.
Videos shared by Twitter user @rivergirl707 show the cherry blossoms moving in the wind as passersby pose for photographs opposite the Washington Monument.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival, an annual springtime celebration in the city, was running from March 20 to April 11.
The trees were a gift given in 1912 from the people of Japan to the people of the United States, according to the National Park Service. Credit: @rivergirl707 via Storyful
