Wild Wild Punjab’s release date could arrive sometime in 2024.
In late February, Netflix India announced the list of its 2024 releases, and Wild Wild Punjab was among them. The streaming giant also put out a teaser for the upcoming film. Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg are producing the film, with Simarpreet Singh serving as director and Sandeep Jain, Harman Wadala, and Ranjan as writers. Some reports published in 2015 state that Wild Wild Punjab was supposed to be Ranjan’s first foray into production, but the project was temporarily shelved following the release of Udta Punjab, starring Shahid Kapoor (2016), as the producers didn’t want to put out another film with themes closely associated with Punjab that soon.
“We at Luv Films endeavor to always bring laughter, joy and entertainment to audiences,” Ranjan and Garg said in a statement. “With Wild Wild Punjab, we are cranking up the fun-o-meter and wildness a level higher! This film is a celebration of friendship, brotherhood and all things Punjab! We can’t wait for you to join us on this wild ride only on Netflix.”
Wild Wild Punjab is slated to premiere sometime in 2024.
The cast includes Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, Patralekhaa, Sunny Singh, Ishita Raj Sharma, and more.
