Watch out The Little Things, there might be a new thriller movie coming for your spot on Netflix’s top ten movies list.
Earlier this week, I reported on the 2021 crime thriller The Little Things, which stars Denzel Washington, hitting number one on the streaming service’s most-watched movies ranking. But now, Netflix watchers like myself can see that the 2018 heart-pounding thriller Skyscraper (which currently sits at number six) is not too far behind.
In this action-packed flick, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays Will Sawyer, a former FBI agent and U.S. war veteran who specializes in the security of skyscrapers. When a building in China goes up in flames, Sawyer is framed for it. Now a wanted man on the run, Sawyer must fight to clear his name and save his family (who is trapped inside a burning skyscraper) before it’s too late. (Yep, this film is going to the top of my Netflix queue.)
Aside from Johnson, Skyscraper also features another familiar face in the ensemble cast. Actress Neve Campbell plays Sarah Sawyer (Will’s wife) in the film. The Canadian-born actress has starred in a number of my favorite films, from the Scream franchise to 1996’s The Craft. Campbell played a recurring character in the Netflix legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer—but it was reported back in March that she will not return for the third season.

Other cast members include Chin Han (Mortal Kombat 2, American Born Chinese), Pablo Schreiber (Halo), Hannah Quinlivan (Assassin), Byron Mann (The Modelizer) and Noah Cottrell (The Spiderwick Chronicles).
This movie is an action thriller, and it stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson?! Say less.
