Wednesday’s Jeopardy! left viewers stunned as the Final Jeopardy! round concluded with the unlikeliest of champions. Going into the final clue, contestants Jon Spurney and Tim Everhart each had a $12,200 lead over Melis Sahin-Collins, but that didn’t stop her from winning.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "European Landmarks" and the clue was “Of the principal architects working on it from the mid-1500s to the 1980s, like Pierre Lescot and Hector Lefuel, none were foreigners.”

None of the contestants provided the correct response, which was Louvre Museum in Paris. However, both Spurney and Everhart wagered all of their money while Sahin-Collins bid zero dollars. As a result, Sahin-Collins was crowned the new Jeopardy! Champion.

Viewers were shocked by the unexpected finish. Several fans took to Twitter to celebrate the amazing win.

The win also surprised guest host Mike Richards. “Not the way you expected to win but you get to play again,” Richards said to Sahin-Collins. “Congratulations. Wow! What a game.”

Even though Sahin-Collins only took home $2,000, which is the same amount as the second place contestant, it was a great wager and a great win.
