An Oregon woman has gone viral for celebrating her husband’s latest achievement in a very unconventional way.

On Dec. 5, the husband posted an image of a cheeky cake his wife surprised him with on Reddit alongside the message “My wife got me a cake for what I thought was a big accomplishment.”

The accompanying photograph showed a cake decorated with rainbow sprinkles and blue frosting reading “Nobody cares!”

The Redditor, who goes by the username BobbyIke, then shared with commenters that he was gifted the cake because he “finished building a website.”

BobbyIke, who owns a printing company, told Today.com that he worked on the website for around three years and had celebrated each milestone of the journey because he’s not a web developer.

“Over the years while I was building it, every time I completed any small thing like a button or something like that, I would show one of my employees,” BobbyIke told Today.com. “Eventually, I think they just got tired of hearing about me, showing them these small, tiny tasks that I had accomplished.”

The print company owner then explained that after one of his celebrations, an employee sarcastically joked that “nobody cares” — and that he and his wife found the reaction “hilarious.”

The remark then took on a life of its own and “kind of just became the mantra” of the three-year build, BobbyIke explained to Today.com.

Things then came to a head when his wife asked him to collect a cookies-and-cream cake from the Sherwood, Oregon-based Hungry Hero bakery, where he said he opened up the cake box and “laughed out loud immediately" because it was "absolutely perfect.”

Following the original post, Reddit users commented to applaud BobbyIke's clever cake, while others shared their frustration over his wife’s “harsh” act.

“A lot of the Reddit comments were, as you might imagine, not great,” BobbyIke explained to Today.com. “We have a relationship where we tease each other when it’s appropriate and are supportive when we realize we need it. That’s our type of humor.”
