Wife Of Firefighter Who Died While On Vacation In Mexico Claims She Had To Beg Authorities To See His Body

Jamie Snow says that she and her husband, Elijah, flew to Cancun, Mexico on July 18, 2021, for what was supposed to be a romantic trip to celebrate their 10th anniversary. But on the first night, their vacation turned into a nightmare. Jamie says she woke up alone and discovered her husband was missing. After searching the resort and alerting authorities, Jamie says she was taken to the hospital hours later to identify her firefighter husband. “I was not allowed to see his physical body,” Jamie tells Dr. Phil in an exclusive interview airing Monday. “They only showed me a picture of his face, initially, on a computer screen. For them to even show me the picture of his face, I had to pay $100, and then I had to pay an additional $100 to see every other I.D. picture.” Hear more from Jamie in the video above, including her claim that she was “begging” to see her husband’s body but authorities wouldn’t allow it. Elijah’s body was found partially stuck in a small window at a resort in Cancun, Mexico. Authorities say Elijah’s death was an accident. On Monday’s episode, “Murder in Mexico? Exclusive: Firefighter's Wife Claims Husband's Death Was Not an Accident,” hear why Jamie says she believes her husband was brutally murdered.
