Widow Goes On Dates With Three Different Men: ‘Something Special Happened With All Three Of Them’

Lydia was widowed in the spring of 2021 when her husband, Roy, died at 96. Lydia says she misses her husband terribly but the 80-year-old “spitfire,” as her daughter describes her, says “time is ticking” and she’s ready to date again. Dr. Phil, with the help of Simona Fusco, Founder & CEO of the California-based matchmaking organization Perfect 12 Introductions, arranges for Lydia to go out on three dates with three different men. Bernie, 70, is a real estate investor, twice-widowed Fred, 82, is a retired business executive, and Noel is a semi-retired divorcé who says he’s looking for his “soulmate.” “I think something special happened with all three of them, but I think the person that I would want to have my next date with is Fred,” says Lydia, who is asked which of the three she’d like to see again.
