The cast reunited during CinemaCon 2024 at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace, with Goldblum tagging the post’s location as Sin City.

During the event, Grande and Erivo took to the stage hand-in-hand to present a preview of the movie’s first installment, which is a big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical.

The duo were also joined by Goldblum (who plays the Wizard), Bailey (Fiyero), 35, and Yeoh (Madame Morrible), 61, along with producer Marc Platt and director Jon M. Chu.

Recalling their first experiences seeing the musical, Grande told the audience, “When I was 10 years old, I saw Wicked on Broadway for the first time. I remember it so clearly because that was the instant that I knew I really wanted to play Glinda one day. It became my dream role."

Erivo added, "I was 25 and it was my birthday. I took myself to see [the musical] on a date by myself. But I could never have fathomed even getting the chance to actually play the iconic Wicked Witch."

According to the movie's logline, Wicked  — a prequel to the events in The Wizard of Oz — is the origin story of “a green-skinned woman who “becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.”

In April 2022, director Chu, 44, teased more details about the project, including that it would be released in two parts.

Not wanting to cut down on too many musical numbers and important characters, Chu explained that the creative team decided to give themselves "a bigger canvas" by splitting the adaptation into two separate movies: "With more space, we can tell the story of WICKED as it was meant to be told."

Part One of Wicked is set to be released on Nov. 27, while Part Two arrives on Nov. 26, 2025.
