Denise says her 17-year-old daughter, Tanyadawn, is at a critical stage. The teen mom is currently on probation after being arrested at age 16 and charged with attempted murder of another girl she claimed was having sex with the father of her unborn child.

Denise says the charges were reduced; Tanyadawn served several months in juvenile detention and is currently on probation. But, her mom claims, the teenager has been violating the terms of her probation by drinking alcohol and leaving home – sometimes for days at a time.

“She doesn’t understand the gravity of the situation,” says Denise. “She feels like it’s no big deal. She could lose her baby. She could lose her freedom.”

Denise says she too, was a single mom who regrets raising her daughter a dangerous neighborhood. “It took her sweetness away from her and made her very angry.” She claims other girls targeted Tanyadawn because she was pretty.

Denise says she and Tanyadawn recently moved in with her sister, Dorothy, “to help save my daughter’s life.”
