Teenage mom Tanyadawn says she has dreams of becoming a therapist for the victims of human trafficking. She also says she wants to be a model.

“I think I’m on the right path,” says the 17-year-old.

However, the teen is currently on probation after serving several months in juvenile detention for assaulting another girl in 2016.

On Wednesday’s episode, Dr. Phil lays out two potential pathways for the teenager’s future. The first, he says includes completing her education, to achieve the future she says she wants. “The second path includes bad grades, drugs, alcohol, homelessness, arrest – and death.”

“My whole life people have promised me things – but they’ve never followed through with it,” says Tanyadawn, saying her mother and aunt have let her down. When the teenager says all she wants is her family’s support to “break the cycle,” of her past, how does Dr. Phil respond?
