Kate Chastain is more than ready to navigate the rocky waters of parenthood, especially without a partner.

The Below Deck alum—who announced in December that she's pregnant with her first child—is opening up about her decision to raise her child as a single parent.

"I'm fiercely independent," the Bravo star admitted on the Jan, 24 episode of Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. "I don't really love people's opinions being different than mine, and trying to make me go their way. So I really am so excited that I'll be able to do this exactly how I want to."

Due this spring, Kate says she's already getting parenting advice from a fellow Bravolebrity—her co-star from Peacock's The Traitors and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville.

"She texts me pretty much every day," the 40-year-old revealed. "If I could read off the texts that I get from Brandi, I mean, they would go viral. She is the funniest human I've ever met. She's also so intelligent and so kind."

"She does give great parenting advice," Kate added of Brandi—who shares sons Mason, 19, and Jake, 15, with ex Eddie Cibrian—"and it's always done in such humorous, direct Brandi style."

Last month, Kate exclusively opened up to E! News about her pregnancy ahead of The Traitors premiere.

"I feel so great," she exclusively shared. "I have my own little baby traitor holding me hostage for four more months."

As for the part of welcoming a newborn she's most nervous about?

"Honestly, I like sleeping in and I'm also kind of lazy and selfish, so I feel like that's gonna be an adjustment," she joked. "But I just figure if I love this child as much as I love my dog, everything will be fine, and people are assuring me that I will."
