One of Meghan Markle projects will have to be placed onto the back burner until the near future, in order to make room for her latest business ventures. Markle's new podcast that was set to be produced by female-founded company Lemonada Media might not arrive until 2025, due to the imminent arrival of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Royal expert Richard Eden wrote in a April 22 piece for Daily Mail that Markle's Lemonada podcast has been placed on hold “until next year at the earliest” while she prepares to drop American Riviera Orchard. A source reportedly told him that podcast launch “got pushed back to 2025,” and Eden says the venture is “struggling to get off the starting blocks” altogether.

Eden continued, “It is understood that Lemonada did not want the podcast’s launch to be overshadowed by the former actress’ [Netflix] television [cooking] series, which she began filming at a rented house in Montecito last week.” Lemonada also did not want there to be any potential "scheduling conflicts" with the launch of American Riviera Orchard.

However, there is a silver living within Eden's report — when Markle's Lemonada podcast starts production, she has a list of “very high-profile guests” planning to participate.

Markle announced her new partnership with Lemonada in February. In addition to the new podcast, episodes from her Spotify podcast, Archetypes, will also be distributed through the company, per The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting,” Markle said in a statement. “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast, is well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.”
