Why Lisa Barlow’s Son Jack’s Mormon Mission Was Delayed

Lisa Barlow let it rip during Part 2 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion. She proudly proclaimed that she wishes she was called a “trampoline with eyes” a la Meredith Marks. She defended John Barlow against Monica Garcia calling her husband a “penis head.” And she waved her Mormon flag proudly, especially when it came to talking about her son Jack’s mission trip.

Lisa had to clear the air when it came to Jack’s mission to Colombia. Andy Cohen was quick to point out that Jack was spotted by fans in California rather than Colombia. After Lisa made a joke that her son “bounced on his mission,” she explained a bit as to what delayed the trip.

Like Lisa Barlow, like son

Lisa explained that Jack’s visa didn’t get approved in time for him to make the original trip planned to Colombia. Instead, the Mormon church sent him to California to practice his Spanish while it got approved. Heather Gay even defended Lisa and Jack, saying it was a common practice for people to start doing mission work in the U.S. due to a paperwork issue.

However, when Lisa explained the cause of the paperwork issue, it couldn’t have been more on brand. “The reason his visa took longer [is] because he has a great six-pack and took a picture on the boat and sent it to the government as his visa picture, like, thinking it’s funny,” Lisa explained bluntly. Girl, did you approve of him sending a thirst trap as his international visa photo?

The RHOSLC cast got a good laugh out of the reason for Jack’s delay, so it was all in good fun. Lisa, as always, continued to be ride-or-die for the Barlow family decisions. “In his defense, he has been working out really hard,” she joked. Baby Gorgeous, we just can’t quit you.
