Why Jax Taylor Doesn’t Want Vanderpump Rules Stars on The Valley

Is somebody feeling a little territorial? Jax Taylor isn’t too keen on the idea of Vanderpump Rules stars making the jump over to The Valley. Of course, this comes right on the heels of VPR Season 11 concluding and leaving everyone questioning if it was a series finale. Apparently, Jax isn’t too worried about his former castmates. The Valley just got greenlit for Season 2, and he’s not trying to share it with any more of his former crew.

The Valley isn’t big enough for everyone

Jax got real about his former Pump Rules costars during an episode of When Reality Hits with estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. Jax asked her who she would want to see join The Valley for Season 2. Before she could answer his question, he jumped in and added a caveat.

“Not from Vanderpump Rules,” Jax clarified. “I personally don’t think we need to bring anyone from Vanderpump Rules over.”

Of course, that’s a little strange considering that The Valley is a Vanderpump Rules spinoff show. Still, Jax argued that Pump Rules stars don’t belong on The Valley. He spoke about it as if he has leverage over who gets cast on the show.

“I’m not trying to make this Vanderpump Rules,” Jax remarked. “As of right now, that is a no. It is a hard no. But who knows, it could change. If we have parties, absolutely.”

Brittany chimed in to explain why she would want some of her real-life friends like Lala Kent and Scheana Shay to make the jump from Vanderpump Rules. However, Jax said that would be unfair to the cast of The Valley, who helped make the show successful on their own.

He explained: “But this is The Valley, this is not an extension of Vanderpump Rules. ‘I’m really proud of our show and I think it isn’t fair for our cast members after they worked so hard to [just] bring people over.”

Essentially, Jax doesn’t want The Valley to turn into a retirement program for people who ran their course on Vanderpump Rules. You can’t blame him for wanting the show to have its own identity. But, if Bravo does end up pulling the plug on VPR, sending a few people to The Valley might be the only solution.

Vanderpump Rules and The Valley air back-to-back on Bravo, Tuesday nights starting at 8/7c.
