Continuing, he says, “This family situation is toxic,” and suggests that Theresa and Tessa need to take a break from one another.

Dr. Phil refers Tessa to Turnabout Ranch in Utah, a residential center for teens which offers structure, therapy, and academics for adolescents who may be struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges.

He then refers Theresa to a program for adults at Onsite, specializing in helping individuals to overcome trauma, burn-out and dysfunctional patterns so they can establish healthy relationships.
