Adding to this, a source told the magazine, “Sophie is focused on motherhood, co-parenting her girls with Joe and her work projects, in that order.”

Jonas and Turner’s relationship dates back to 2016, when he messaged her on Instagram, sparking a connection between them. The duo announced their engagement in 2017, getting married two years later. In a surprising turn of events, they headed for a divorce last year and put out a joint statement on September 6.

Reflecting on the time when the rumors about her being a bad mother began to circulate, Turner recently set the record straight on her marriage in an interview with British Vogue.

When the rumors started popping up, she was on the set of Joan and couldn’t go back to her kids. She deemed these days to be the “worst few days” of her life. However, she praised Joe Jonas and also called him a “great father.”

The Dark Phoenix actress revealed she was “hurt” by the false rumors. She went on to say that she had to reassure herself that she was a good mother. “It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother—mum guilt is so real! I just kept having to say to myself, ‘None of this is true. You are a good mum and you’ve never been a partier.'” she stated.

Turner also noted that she appreciated Joan’s cast and crew members for supporting her during this hard time.

Currently, the 28-year-old actress is looking forward to having a healthy co-parenting relationship with Joe Jonas. She expressed her displeasure with how the divorce “played out” in public, especially for their children. However, she said, “I’m confident that we can figure it out. Joe is a great father…and that’s all that I can ask for.”
