Why Did Byun Yo-Han Take a Hiatus After Six Flying Dragons?

Byun Yo-Han, who recently appeared in Disney Plus’ ongoing K-drama Uncle Samsik and the Korean movie Following, talked about his health issues. In a conversation, the popular South Korean actor opened up about why he took a long break from acting.
Over the years, the actor has proved his worth by portraying various characters and demonstrating versatility. However, after featuring in Six Flying Dragons in 2016, Yo-Han took a two-year gap from filming any projects. Recently, he appeared on TVN’s entertainment program ‘You Quiz on the Block’ and talked about it.
Byun Yo-Han talks about his health issues
As reported in Newsis, during the chat show, Byun Yo-Han talked about his bold choice not to do any projects for two years. After Six Flying Dragons, he took a break.
Sharing that time, he said, “I filmed an independent film non-stop. Then, when I came to a bigger field, I felt pressured and worked non-stop, so I felt a little unwell. I started shaking and couldn’t breathe, so I thought, ‘I won’t be able to act for a while.'”
Yo-Han added, “Other people are now saying, ‘Shouldn’t you row when the water comes in?’ but I said, ‘I was rowing beforehand. My arm hurts so much. I’ll take a break.’ I took a break. I made a bold choice.”
Stating how his mental state worsened, the Uncle Samsik actor said, “It really hurt. It was difficult. Just when I thought I could do the acting I love so much, I broke down.” He added, “Even at the hospital, they said that if I go into this state, I can perform brilliantly, but I will die quickly. In the end, I have time to recover and organize it, and it is time to figure out how I can live each day, organizing, making, and breaking off things. “I sent it.”
Byun Yo-Han further explained how he got the script for Mr. Sunshine after two years and how it felt so good to be back on set. He even shed tears after finishing his shoot. Well, that speaks a lot about the actor.
