A resurfaced scene of "Friends" is now hitting fans differently, as Monica (Courteney Cox) called Chandler (Matthew Perry) a "drowning moron".

As we reported, police responded to a 911 call over the weekend to assist with a possible ‘water rescue’ at Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades home. When the first responders arrived, they reportedly found the 54-year-old “Friends” actor in his hot tub, unresponsive. He is believed to have drowned, but an autopsy and toxicology reports will be able to answer more questions about his true cause of death.

Matthew Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the famous sitcom, "Friends," where he appeared alongside Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller/Bing), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), and Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay).

Now, one episode of "Friends" is getting a lot of attention as a line that Courteney Cox's character says to Matthew Perry's character is a bit ironic, and also extremely sad.

In one pisode of "Friends," Monica and Chandler are getting ready to have their wedding announcement photos taken, when Chandler has trouble smiling for the camera. As a joke, Monica, played by Courteney Cox, says, "Chandler, what's the matter with your face? Like this picture is supposed to say 'Geller and Bing to be married' not local woman saves drowning moron."

The cameraman then laughs, at which Monica says, "Hey, don't laugh at him. He's my drowning moron."

Matthew Perry may have predicted his own death in an episode of “Friends.” The Chan Chan Man was not wrong, unfortunately, as, in the eighth episode of the ninth season, his character said, “I guess I’ll be the one who dies first.”

In the episode titled ‘The One with Rachel’s Other Sister’, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer) argue over who will get custody of their baby girl, Emma, if anything were to happen to them.

Amy, Rachel’s sister, played by Christina Applegate, claimed she would get custody of Emma, however, she has not been part of Rachel’s life whatsoever, so the two break the news that Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) would take care of Emma if anything were to happen to Rachel or Ross.

This starts a quarrel between all the friends, but it isn’t until Chandler breaks all of Monica’s cherished china dishes that he says, “I guess I’ll be the one who dies first,” referring to the fact that his character would die before the other five friends because Monica would ‘kill’ him.

At this time, the cause of death is believed to be drowning; however, that has yet to be confirmed.

The “Friends” star had made it no secret that he had struggled with addiction for years, even opening up about that time in his life in his 2022 memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.”

However, prior to his death, he claimed to have been clean.

Prescription anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications were reportedly found in Matthew Perry‘s home following his tragic death on Saturday evening, although sources say that no illegal narcotics were discovered at the scene.
