Dance Moms certainly helped put JoJo Siwa and Chloé Lukasiak on the map. However, they both had very different experiences with their dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller. Chloé joined the series during Season 1 in 2011, while JoJo entered during Season 5 in 2015. According to Chloé, when she looks back at their journey, she believes JoJo’s “game plan” helped set her up for success because she had a blueprint.

Chloe said JoJo knew what she wanted from the beginning…

During an interview with Page Six, Chloé said JoJo made the most of her time on the Lifetime reality show because she knew what she wanted. She said her co-star had a “game plan,” which helped boost her into stardom.

“I kind of envy the people who watched it, created a game plan, and then went on knowing exactly what they wanted to do,” Chloé said. “Because, like I said, cameras came to us and then it was like, all of a sudden, the drama needed to be heightened.”

Chloé has been open about the rivalry Abby created between her and Maddie Ziegler. “I think if I had come at it from a different angle and … been far away from it and then approach it, I think I definitely would’ve put some mental walls up. But I didn’t put any [up],” she explained.

“I was completely vulnerable at all times.”

Although the cast of Dance Moms is thankful for their time on television, it doesn’t make dealing with the trauma they experienced any less challenging. Chloe said in an earlier interview that after years away from the cameras, she realized therapy would be a good practice for her.

“It made me realize I should probably go to therapy,” she joked. “[There’s a lot of] things I need to heal from, but it was good to look back and just appreciate. I didn’t expect it at all when they brought up the idea of a reunion. I was just like, ‘Yeah, that sounds good.’”
